SoulBounce.com’s Review of “A Prelude to Freedom Music”

SoulBounce.com did a review of Evin’s mixtape! Read on…

Honestly, the concept of a gospel artist remaking a recent R&B hit can be a bit risky. The outcome can come off as either extremely corny or perfectly genuine and effortless. Evin Amiri, member of gospel music boy band 21:03, takes a chance and reworks Chris Brown’s “Yeah 3x” and manages to fuse the song’s original energy with the feel of a Sunday morning worship service. If nothing else, Evin’s effort showcases his undeniable vocal talent that will captivate you as the song progresses. This reworking can be found on Evin Amiri’s A Prelude To…Freedom Music mixtape, which features Mac Powell of Third Day, Gungor, and his fellow 21:03 bandmates, Torrence Greene and Jor’el Quinn. A Prelude To…Freedom Music, which stands as a precursor to 21:03′s fourth studio album, can be downloaded for free via Evin Amiri’s newly-launched website.

Happy Good Friday everyone! It’s midnight (well, 11pm here) and as promised Evin’s mixtape “A Prelude to Freedom Music” has been released at http://www.EvinAmiri.com! He’s been Tweeting and posting about it on Facebook all week, you can’t help but to be excited! I’m currently downloading it as we speak (no, none of the songs will pop up on here!) and I can’t wait to hear it! Congrats Evin!

Sorry if the new layout takes up most (if not all of) your screen; I tried to make it smaller but then it ended up being too small :/ Sorry for any inconvenience!
